I’m Andi Silva. Design lead based in Portland, Oregon.
After graduating from High School I moved to Argentina to study graphic design in the Buenos Aires University 🇦🇷.
I started working in the design industry in 2015 (like 9 years ago 😯) as a junior designer for an independent advertising agency. Made my profesional journey through different agencies and design studios and in 2019 I landed into R/GA Buenos Aires 🖤. First 2 years I worked remotely with the Portland office, then I moved to Portland to become a Design Director for the Nike account.
As a design lead for Nike, I am responsable to set parameters of quality across every project; looking for the right balance to achieve a high level of design but also functionality, while leading a team of creatives. Being from Latin America helps me to understand the culture of my co-workers based there and living here makes me a good bridge between US and Latam. ✌🏽
Things to know about me:
I am a very social person, a good working environment is very important for me.
I believe a good idea can come from anyone, no matter the role or hierarchy.
I am very versatile in regards of my skills, that helps me to have a global view of the projects.
I think a good leader is there to support their team, help them grow.
I studied a master degree on Typography Design, but haven’t made my final essay. 😪
